Atlantic was founded in La Roche sur Yon in the Vendée in 1974. The company manufactures in France at 9 sites: Merville (59), Cauroir (59), Aulnay sous Bois (93), St Jean de la ruelle (45), La Roche sur Yon (85), Meyzieu (69), Pont de Vaux (01), Fontaine (38), and finally St Louis (68). The company employs 4,000 people and invests up to 4% of its turnover in R&D, making it a multi-specialist in heating and a multi-energy manufacturer, able to adapt to all household configurations. Atlantic has been able to create hybrid products, combining photovoltaic, gas and aerothermal systems. Atlantic is also strongly committed to respecting the environment through its Product Environmental Profile / ECOPASSEPORT sheets (drawn up by heating professionals). It has drawn up environmental identity cards for all its products (heat pumps, air conditioning, ventilation, heated towel rails, electric heating).
