DIAGER

Diager is a French company founded in 1960 by Pierre and his wife Denise Defougères after Pierre Defougères took over a cutting tool manufacturing workshop in Paris in 1953. This workshop had been founded by his father and uncle in 1933, to manufacture carbide tungsten drills, a material invented a few years earlier. By the 1970s, Diager was selling in over 50 countries, and 30 years later in 80. In 2000, it became the first European drill manufacturer to be awarded the ISO 14001 standard, which recognises environmental management. Today, Diager is the European leader in chisels, points, picks for perforators, hole saws and drill bits for drills, jigsaw blades and drills of all kinds. 20 million units leave its factories every year.
