FARTOOLS
FAR group, which owns the FARTOOLS brand, is a French-owned company founded in 1991. It employs 60 people who oversee all logistics and quality control. It specialises in DIY tools for the general public. The group is strongly committed to respect for the environment: it is a member of ECO SYSTEMES, to reduce the environmental impact of the potentially polluting products it markets by promoting their recycling. It is also a member of ECO EMBALLAGE, as well as ECO FOLIO (recycling of sales catalogues), to also deal with what enables it to sell its tools, and therefore to recycle the waste produced by its commercial activity. Far group also recycles the batteries and accumulators used in its power tools, and is a member of SCRELEC. Far's carbon footprint is therefore reduced as much as possible. But since 2009, Far has gone even further by increasingly equipping its tools with lithium-ion batteries, which are more efficient than traditional batteries. In 2010, Far also patented its Eco Source recharging system, a charger that uses solar energy.
