GERFLOR

Gerflor is a French company, based in Lyon, born from the merger of several innovative companies in the flooring market. The oldest company is MIPOLAM, which invented the first homogeneous vinyl floor in 1937. In 1948 BATIFLEX marketed the first specific floor for the aeronautical industry. In the 70s and 80s, the Taraflex and Protecsol ranges for sports and the Gerflex self-adhesive tiles were launched and met with great success. In the 2000s, the company took its flooring range a step further by inventing solutions for parquet flooring, with SENSO self-adhesive laminate planks with ultra-realistic wood decors, and CLIC SYSTEM easy-lay planks. More recently, in 2013, Gerflor launched Top Silence, the new generation of silent laminate flooring. Thanks to its history, Gerflor has become the multi-specialist in interior flooring. Today, 100 million people live on a Gerflor indoor floor, 500 million patients are treated on a Gerflor floor for Health. Gerflor is also known for having featured Christophe Salengro (1985) and David Douillet (1995) in its advertising.
