LEBORGNE
Leborgne is the brand for building professionals. It is widely produced in France, England, Germany and Italy. It is one of the oldest factories in the world. Its creation dates back to 1173, when the Saint-Chartreux monks of the Saint-Hugon monastery in Haute Savoie forged the axes and swords of the Crusaders. In 1829, the Leborgne family acquired the abandoned blast furnace. Its highly acclaimed shovels were used to dig the Suez Canal, before winning awards at various world exhibitions. The company was one of the first to produce a photo catalogue of its products (produced by the Lumière brothers). Leborgne diversified into planters, hoes, rakes, hooks, sledgehammers and strikers, all in the company's green and yellow colours.
