MEACO

Meaco (U.K.) Limited was founded in 2003 as a specialist supplier of environmental monitoring and control equipment for museums, archives and art galleries across Europe. As part of the environmental control Meaco used dehumidifiers, providing precision drying in such an environment brings with it a huge amount of experience and knowledge in what makes a good dehumidifier and how to dry a space safely. This experience was one of the reasons why Mitsubishi Electric approached Meaco at the end of the 90’s and asked Meaco to be responsible for all of their UK dehumidifier sales and after sales service. This relationship, which continues to this day, diversified Meaco into the home dehumidifier market and gave Meaco access to the best made domestic dehumidifiers on the UK market. Fast forward over 15 years and Meaco now have their own range of domestic, light commercial and swimming pool dehumidifiers. The precision control required protecting the nation’s treasures and the demanding quality standards of the Japanese have left their mark on Meaco and influence every machine they now design and put their name to. Something that has been recognised in independent tests seeing Meaco branded dehumidifiers win Best on Test awards ahead of many of the more established brands.
