Porcher has been a brand of the Ideal Standard group since it was acquired in 1992. Ideal Standard is one of the leading companies for bathroom and sanitary accessories. It is based in BRUSSELS, Belgium. But Porcher's roots are in the Jura, in Dole, where the Louis COURTOT foundry was founded in the 19th century, and those of Ideal Standard in England, with the National Radiator Company created in 1936. Through its Porcher brand, Ideal Standard specialises in solutions for hospitals, local authorities, schools and nurseries, as well as private individuals. It also works with leading designers such as FRANCO BERTOLI, ROBIN LEVIEN, JEAN NOUVEL (architect of the Arab World Institute and the Palais des Congrès, as well as the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi) and ACHIM POHL. It employs 17,000 people in 40 factories, and sells in 30 countries.
