Do you have refrigeration equipment, air conditioners, or condensing boilers installed in your home? In that case, it is advisable to use a condensate pump so that you can get rid of the water droplets generated by the passage of humid and warm air over a cold surface.
A condensate pump is a device composed of a pump block and an integrated or independent detection unit that, in the absence of a slope, allows the condensation water to be discharged towards the wastewater piping. There are three types of condensate pumps:
- Reciprocating piston pumps: this type of condensate pump is equipped with a piston that absorbs and then discharges the condensation water.
- Centrifugal pumps: suitable for use with high-flow condensates, this type of condensate pump is equipped with a turbine that handles the evacuation of condensation water.
- Peristaltic pumps: this type of condensate pump can operate even in the absence of water.
The use of a condensate pump offers significant advantages such as keeping the piping in good condition.
