Description
This replacement membrane is suitable for almost all common 80-100L expansion vessels used in domestic hot and cold water systems, heating and air conditioning systems, domestic water installations, solar installations, for pressure maintenance, and for irrigation pumps. It is made of ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) and is therefore suitable for drinking water. EPDM rubber: This rubber belongs to the elastomer group. It is characterized by its resistance to hot air, weathering, and ozone. It has low gas permeability, is resistant to chemicals, and exhibits good vibration and shock damping properties up to 100 degrees Celsius. This rubber remains elastic down to a temperature of -70°C. It is particularly used for inner tubes, tyre linings, membranes or steam pipes, certain interior linings of containers or tanks, protective films, unvulcanized sealing compounds, and straps or ties. Ethylene-propylene-diene rubber is authorized by Article 4 of the decree concerning the authorization of additives in the manufacture of chewing gum. It is therefore a completely safe material for use in drinking water systems.
