Our 11MM Wire Rope Grips are manufactured from mild steel with a galvanised coating for enhanced corrosion resistance. These grips are ideal for creating loops in wire rope assemblies or for temporary joins, making them suitable for both marine rigging setups and various land applications.

Installation

Prior to fitting, ensure the threads on the nuts and bolts are well greased.

Maintain a spacing of at least 6 times the diameter of the rope between grips.

Orient the grip correctly, placing the 'u' bolt on the unloaded end of the rope.

Tighten each nut evenly and in turn to achieve the recommended torque settings.

After installation, leave unused for 24 hours and re-check the torque setting, re-tightening if necessary.

After the first application of load, re-check the torque setting and re-tighten if necessary.

Periodically check the torque setting during service.

Usage

The main use of these grips is to create loops of wire in a rope assembly or when a temporary join is needed. The galvanised finish provides excellent corrosion resistance, making them suitable for various environments.
