Installation

Ensure the motorcycle is at a standstill and the ignition is off before removing the old solenoid. Test the old solenoid by applying 12 volts to the two wires inside the plastic connector. The solenoid is polarity sensitive; applying 12 volts in the wrong polarity will not harm it but will prevent it from working. If the starter motor cranks with the new solenoid, the solenoid, battery, and starter are all functioning correctly.
