Before programming, open the receiver from the garage door.

Procedure:

1. Press the programming button. (On some receivers, you need to hold the programming button down.)

2. The LED on the receiver indicates that programming mode has started. 3. Press and hold a button on the new remote control for one second, then release it. 4. The LED on the receiver will light up or go out to indicate successful programming. 5. Wait a few seconds to exit programming mode. Programming is complete. Why doesn't the indicator light light up, or why does it light up dimly, when I press the buttons on the remote control? This could be due to a weak or dead battery.
