General description

2-Piece Valve Lapping and Grinding Hand Tool Set designed for precise gas seat adjustment during high-end engine rebuilds. This set includes double-ended suction cups made from oil and UV-resistant synthetic rubber, ensuring durability and effectiveness in moistening adjusted parts. The tools are suitable for various applications, including lawnmowers, chainsaws, and small or large engine cars, accommodating valves of sizes 5/8", 13/16", 1-1/8", and 1-3/8" (1.6 cm, 2.9 cm, 3.5 cm). Their ergonomic design allows for easy gripping and high efficiency, making them compact, lightweight, and portable for convenient storage and transport.

Technical specifications

Double-ended suction cup sizes: 1-1/8 in, 1-3/8 in, 5/8 in

Overall lengths: 8.9 in (22.6 cm) and 8.3 in (21.1 cm)

Installation

To install the valve, place it in its guide, firmly press the appropriately sized suction cup onto the valve head, and gently rotate the tool handle between your palms until a proper finish is achieved.

Usage

These tools are convenient for removing carbon deposits from valves and wiping them clean. It is recommended to apply lapping compound (not included) to the valve seat or surface, ensuring that the compound does not come into contact with the upper surface of the valve for optimal performance.
