Description
Temperature/humidity sensors are among the most precise on the market. Finally, some sensors have a real interface for easy reading. The SHT31-D sensor provides excellent relative humidity accuracy of +/-2% and +/-0.3°C for most uses. Material: plastic. Color: Since this chip is really capable, we designed a breakout board with the SHT31-D and supporting circuitry such as pull-up resistors and capacitors. Each order comes with a fully assembled and tested PCB breakout board and a small connector. You will need to solder the connector to the PCB, but the operation is quite simple and only takes a few minutes, even for a beginner. Power Pins: Vin: Power Pin. The chip can use a voltage of 2.5 to 5 VDC.To power the board, apply the same voltage to it as the logic level of your microcontroller; for example, for a Mini 5V like , use 5V. For a 3.3V controller like a Pi, connect to 3.3V.
GND - common ground for power and logic.
Logic pins:
SCL - clock pin, connect to the clock line of your microcontroller. This pin has a 10kV pull-up resistor to Vin.
SDA - data pin, connect to the data line of your microcontroller. This pin has a 10kV pull-up resistor to Vin.
Other pins:
- Address select pin. This pin has a 10kV pull-up resistor to set the default address to 0x44. You can wire this pin to Vin to set the address to 0x45.
- Hard reset pin.Has a 10kV pull-up resistor to enable the chip by default. Connect it to ground to perform a hard reset!
ALR - Alert/Interrupt Output. You can configure the sensor to notify you when an event occurs. See the datasheet for instructions on how to configure alerts.
