Description
1) 2-in-1 protection for enhanced everyday safetyThis 3P 10 A miniature residual current circuit breaker with overcurrent protection (RCBO) combines in a single device protection against overloads and short circuits (circuit breaker function) and protection against insulation faults / earth leakage (residual current function). Installed in the consumer unit, it quickly cuts the power supply in the event of overcurrent, short circuit or current leakage, in order to limit damage to equipment and reduce the risk of electrical incidents. It is particularly appreciated when complete protection, clear wiring, simple operation and faster troubleshooting are required (fault localised on the relevant outgoing circuit).2) Designed for three-phase circuits: 3P, simultaneous disconnection of conductorsWith its 3-pole (3P) configuration, this model is suitable for three-phase networks or installations where several conductors of the same circuit need to be disconnected simultaneously. It is suitable for advanced domestic consumer units, commercial premises (offices, shops), small workshops, machine cabinets and distribution enclosures. A 3P device guarantees consistent disconnection of the circuit, practical for three-phase outgoing circuits and certain technical power supplies. With a 10 A rating, it is intended for moderate-power circuits: lighting, control, automation, auxiliaries, small three-phase loads or dedicated outgoing circuits, provided that the operating current remains sustainably below 10 A, with a margin compliant with best practice.3) Electrical characteristics suited to European installationsDesigned for an operating voltage of 230 to 400 V AC and a frequency of 50/60 Hz, it matches the most common configurations in Europe. It complies with EN 61009, the reference standard for devices combining circuit breaker and residual current protection, facilitating integration and compliance. It integrates naturally into standard modular consumer units, for residential as well as professional applications.4) 6 kA breaking capacity and C curve: robustness and continuity of serviceIts 6 kA breaking capacity allows it to interrupt a significant short-circuit current, helping to contain the fault and limit damage. The C tripping curve is recommended for loads with inrush current on start-up (small motors, fans, transformers, switch-mode power supplies, certain inductive loads). It reduces nuisance tripping while maintaining a rapid response in the event of genuine overcurrent or short circuit.5) Recommended use, sensitive environments and good installation practiceThe residual current function is particularly relevant in areas with an increased risk of leakage: kitchen, bathroom, basement, sheltered outdoor areas, damp rooms, dusty environments or equipment with a metal casing. Installing this RCBO on a dedicated outgoing circuit helps to segment risks: a fault on one circuit does not necessarily cause the entire installation to be disconnected, which simplifies fault-finding. Before installation, check that the 10 A rating is suitable for the circuit, that 230/400 V compatibility is correct and that it is consistent with a three-phase outgoing circuit (3P). Installation must be carried out de-energised by a qualified person, with tightening to the appropriate torque, suitable conductor cross-section and periodic inspection. In the event of repeated tripping, identify the cause (overload, degraded insulation, moisture, appliance fault) rather than increasing the rating without assessment.
