When your drive voltage is 7V-12V, you can activate the built-in 5V logic power supply. After using the integrated 5V power supply, the +5V supply in the interface does not require an input voltage, but the 5V supply can be extracted for external use. If you are using a control voltage higher than 12V, for example, to drive a motor with a rated voltage of 18V, you must first disconnect the integrated 5V output jumper cap. Then connect 5V externally to the 5V output port.
