40 L Green Metal Lawn Roller for Seeding and Levelling

(£55.46/pc)

Product information

Description

40-litre manual green metal lawn roller

This manual lawn roller is designed to maintain lawns, prepare sowings and improve the flatness of outdoor soils. Its metal cylinder can be filled with water or sand in order to adapt its weight to the nature of the ground and the work carried out. Once ballasted, the roller exerts even pressure on the surface to promote contact between the seeds and the soil, lightly tamp the ground and reduce small irregularities.

Thanks to its push handle, this garden roller is used without electrical supply or fuel. It suits occasional jobs in a private garden as well as routine maintenance of a lawn, grassed area or prepared ground. Its metal construction offers good resistance for normal outdoor use and its green finish blends easily into the garden environment.

Key benefits

  • 40-litre filling capacity with water or sand.
  • Manual roller allowing simple use, without motor, electrical cable or battery.
  • Metal cylinder suited to rolling the lawn and light levelling of the soil.
  • Adjustable weight according to the desired ballasting level.
  • Useful tool after grass sowing for improving contact between the seeds and the soil.
  • Suited to maintaining lawns, small grassed surfaces and prepared garden soils.
  • Manoeuvrable format with a roller diameter of 32 cm.

Recommended uses

This lawn roller can be used after preparing a plot of ground, laying topsoil or sowing grass. It allows the surface to be tamped more evenly than manual trampling and helps correct small bumps or slightly irregular areas. It can also be used after aeration, overseeding or lawn repair work.

For an even result, it is advisable to work on slightly moist soil, but not waterlogged. The tool is intended for levelling and light to moderate compaction. It does not replace earthworks equipment for very hard, heavily deformed soils or those with significant slopes.

Installation and usage advice

Before the first use, check the correct assembly of the handle and holding elements, then make sure the roller is correctly closed. Gradually fill the cylinder with water or sand according to the weight needed. Make several regular, parallel passes, without exerting excessive pressure on the handle. After use, empty the roller if necessary, rinse it in case of contact with wet soil and store it in a dry place in order to preserve the metal.

For grass sowing, distribute the seeds evenly before passing the roller. Avoid using the tool on water-saturated soil, because excessive rolling could create excessive compaction and limit the aeration of the ground.
