Description
1) 2-in-1 protection for enhanced installation safetyThis 4P 6A miniature RCBO combines in a single device protection against overloads and short circuits (circuit breaker function) and protection against insulation faults / current leakage (residual current function). It is designed to protect distribution boards, control panels and multi-circuit power supplies where preventing electric shock and electrically caused fire risks is a priority. In the event of a fault (sustained overload, direct short circuit, earth leakage linked to ageing insulation, humidity, defective metal equipment, etc.), it trips quickly and cuts off the power supply in order to limit risks to people and equipment. For places where machines or accessible appliances are frequently handled, or for more humid environments (plant room, basement, storeroom, protected outdoor enclosure, etc.), this type of device provides a higher level of confidence compared with protection that is only thermal-magnetic.2) 4P format: simultaneous disconnection of conductors, ideal for multi-wire circuitsThanks to its 4-pole (4P) design, this model allows synchronised disconnection and protection of several conductors in the same circuit. In layouts where it is important to prevent a conductor from remaining live during a fault, the 4P makes securing and maintenance easier: it limits situations where only one line drops out and where residual voltage can complicate diagnosis or create a risk during intervention. This feature is particularly valued in control enclosures, in the power supply of sub-assemblies or in configurations requiring grouped disconnection. Wiring remains clearer and panel management simpler, especially when seeking to combine personal protection and controlled service continuity.3) 6A rating: suitable for low-power outgoing ways and control circuitsWith a rated current of 6 A, this miniature RCBO is intended for low-current circuits: low-power lighting, power supply for control systems, automation, small auxiliary loads, or dedicated protection for specific equipment whose operating current remains moderate. This rating allows fine protection of sensitive outgoing ways, provided one essential rule is respected: selection must always be based on the actual circuit current and the conductor cross-section. In operation, consistent sizing limits nuisance tripping, terminal heating and contributes to the overall reliability of the panel. It is a relevant solution when you want to secure a targeted outgoing way rather than protect a set of large loads.4) Electrical characteristics compliant with European uses: 230/400 V, 50/60 Hz, breaking capacity 6 kAThis model operates over an AC voltage range of 230 to 400 V (often associated with 230/400 V networks), and accepts a frequency of 50–60 Hz, making it compatible with the majority of common power supply environments. It is stated to comply with EN 61009, a standard frequently associated with RCBOs combining thermal-magnetic and residual current protection. Its breaking capacity of 6 kA indicates an ability to open the circuit in the presence of significant short-circuit currents, within the limits предусмотрed by the installation. This data is important for coordination with the rest of the panel (upstream, prospective Icc, possible selectivity), in order to achieve consistent and robust protection.5) C tripping curve: a good compromise against nuisance trippingThe C curve is a very common choice in installations, as it is well suited to circuits likely to have inrush current at start-up (small motors, transformers, switch-mode power supplies, coils, etc.). Compared with a B curve, it is generally less sensitive to brief peaks linked to normal operation, while still retaining an effective response to real overloads and short circuits. Result: a better balance between service continuity and level of protection, especially in cabinets where unnecessary interruptions are to be avoided while keeping a responsive device in the event of a fault. Recommendations for use: observe terminal markings (input/output), tighten conductors correctly, allow a minimum of thermal dissipation in the panel, and periodically test the residual current function via the test button. In the event of repeated tripping, it is preferable to look for the cause (insulation, humidity, wiring, load fault) rather than reclose without diagnosis.
