Use

Use the pliers to strip wires, cut cables, or crimp plugs as needed. For the voltage testing function:  

1. This voltage tester function is used by electricians to detect if the device under test is live, to distinguish the live wire from the ground wire, and to check for short circuits, etc.
2. Before the voltage test, touch the metal foil at the end of the handle; caution: apart from this metal foil, the human body must not touch any metal part of the clamp during the test to avoid electric shock.
3. In position "1", touch the pointed end to the device under test.The green light illuminates at low voltage, both the green and red lights illuminate at high voltage, and the red light illuminates and the siren sounds at dangerous voltage.When there is no power, neither the red nor the green light will illuminate, and the siren will not sound.
4. When not connected to a power source (device), if you touch the metal foil at the end of the handle while also touching another metal part of the clamp, the green light will illuminate, which is normal.Once your hand is removed, the green light will turn off.In exceptional circumstances, if the clamp is placed near a live device and your hand touches the clamp, the green light will also illuminate.This is an electrostatic induction phenomenon and does not affect the normal operation of the clamp.It resumes normal operation once removed from the electrostatic field.
