Description
The ABUS 65 Series 65/50 brass padlock features a solid brass body and a hardened steel round shackle with NANO PROTECT™ coating. Inner components are made from non-corrosive materials and the precision pin cylinder includes mushroom counter pins and a paracentric keyway to resist manipulation. The padlock locks automatically and is rated ABUS Security Level 6. Dimensions: body width 50mm, overall height 77mm, overall depth 18mm; shackle width 28mm, shackle height 29mm and shackle diameter 7mm. Ideal for securing medium-value items and everyday applications such as chains, doors, gates, cupboards, lockers, toolboxes and sheds.

Published on 01/07/2020, SpainAppalling. it is supposed to be a security padlock, but as soon as it is received it is used to close a container. When squeezing with the hand it gets stuck, it does not close and when trying to remove the key it breaks.

Visit the ABUS storeABUS, an acronym for August Bremicker und Söhne KG, is a German company specialising in security equipment (mainly padlocks, anti-theft devices and locks). Since its foundation in 1924 in Volmarstein in the Ruhr by August Bremicker, the company has specialised in padlocks: its first model, the IRON ROCK, was designed in the attic of the family home. Bremicker then used solid brass, which was lighter but just as strong as steel, revolutionising the padlock industry. In 1949, it was the famous DISKUS padlock that became the benchmark for padlocks to this day, such was its revolutionary design. But the most successful padlocks were the Granit padlocks. In 1971, it developed the first anti-theft bicycle locks. ABUS has remained a family business, with the fourth generation at the helm. It has diversified into bicycle locks, container locks, marine engine locks, HOMETEC electronic door locks, etc.
