Description
The ABUS 85 Series Brass Padlocks have a soild brass lock body and high quality, rust-free inner components. Fitted with a hardened steel shackle; double bolted with NANO PROTECT™ shackle coating, 30mm and above.
The precision pin cylinder features anti-pick mushroom pins and a paracentric keyway for increased protection against manipulation. Automatic locking, the padlock can be locked with a key, just push down the shackle.
Ideal for securing a wide range of objects. Sizes 20-40mm: for securing valuables/goods of medium value or at an average risk of theft. Sizes 50-70mm: for securing valuables/goods of greater value or at a high risk of theft.

Published on 01/07/2020, SpainAppalling. it is supposed to be a security padlock, but as soon as it is received it is used to close a container. When squeezing with the hand it gets stuck, it does not close and when trying to remove the key it breaks.

Visit the ABUS storeABUS, an acronym for August Bremicker und Söhne KG, is a German company specialising in security equipment (mainly padlocks, anti-theft devices and locks). Since its foundation in 1924 in Volmarstein in the Ruhr by August Bremicker, the company has specialised in padlocks: its first model, the IRON ROCK, was designed in the attic of the family home. Bremicker then used solid brass, which was lighter but just as strong as steel, revolutionising the padlock industry. In 1949, it was the famous DISKUS padlock that became the benchmark for padlocks to this day, such was its revolutionary design. But the most successful padlocks were the Granit padlocks. In 1971, it developed the first anti-theft bicycle locks. ABUS has remained a family business, with the fourth generation at the helm. It has diversified into bicycle locks, container locks, marine engine locks, HOMETEC electronic door locks, etc.
