The Yale 85 series deadlocking nightlatch is a widely-used front door lock designed for enhanced security. It features a polished chrome finish with a hardened case, providing durability and a sleek appearance. The lock is key-operated from the outside and operated by a lever handle from the inside. It automatically deadlocks when the door is closed, and includes a snib function to hold the latch back. The inside handle can also be deadlocked by turning the key in the cylinder, preventing the latch from being opened from the inside. Supplied with a 1109 cylinder, it is suitable for doors with a 40mm backset, ideal for narrow or restricted spaces.
