General description

Tile Backer boards are specifically designed for two primary purposes: as a first-class heat insulation for underfloor heating systems and as a superior waterproof surface for fixing wall or floor tiles. These boards are particularly suited for underfloor heating mats and under-tile heating cable applications, making them ideal for wet rooms. They can accept even the heaviest wall tiles, unlike plasterboard, provided the correct installation method is followed.

Installation

Installing Tile Backer boards below underfloor heating systems on an existing un-insulated concrete or timber sub-floor will greatly reduce heat-up time and running costs. They are easy to cut with a sharp knife or fine tooth saw.

Usage

Tile Backer boards can be tiled, plastered, or cladded. They offer excellent sound insulation, significantly reducing impact sound, and allow for the fast creation of tiled partition walls anywhere within the home.
