Tile Backer boards are specifically designed for two primary purposes: as a first-class heat insulation for underfloor heating systems and as a superior waterproof surface for fixing wall or floor tiles. These boards are particularly suited for underfloor heating mats and under-tile heating cable applications, making them ideal for wet rooms.

Installation

Installation below underfloor heating systems on an existing uninsulated concrete or timber sub-floor will greatly reduce heat-up time and running costs. Correct installation methods must be followed to ensure optimal performance.

Usage

Tile backer boards can be tiled, plastered, or cladding can be applied. They are suitable for use on both walls and floors, providing excellent sound insulation by greatly reducing impact sound. They can also support even the heaviest wall tiles, unlike plasterboard.
