Tile Backer boards are specifically designed for two primary purposes: as a first-class heat insulation for underfloor heating systems and as a superior waterproof surface for fixing wall or floor tiles. These boards are particularly suited for underfloor heating mats and under-tile heating cable applications, making them ideal for wet rooms.

Installation

Installation below underfloor heating systems on an existing un-insulated concrete or timber sub-floor will greatly reduce heat-up time and running costs. Correct installation methods must be followed to ensure that even the heaviest wall tiles can be accepted, unlike plasterboard.

Tile backer boards can be tiled, plastered, or cladding can be applied. They offer fast creation of tiled partition walls anywhere within the home and provide excellent sound insulation, significantly reducing impact sound.
