I used this Blackfriars product to stain internal doors some 20+yrs ago & wanted same (& same shade) for refurb. Have no idea whether price I paid is value for money as I found it difficult to find suppliers (and none local to me). Felt expensive; other spirit based dyes (e.g Liberon) can be found for almost 1/2 the price. (can't comment otherwise, as haven't ever used.) Worked a treat. Knocks the spots off water based dyes (tried these) - both in terms of ease of application and finish.
