General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. This product effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, ensuring your paving looks like new. It is suitable for application on various types of block paving, but should not be used on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane products.

Installation

Before applying Block Magic, ensure the following steps are completed:

Pressure wash the paving to remove all surface debris and muck from the joints.

Leave the paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

If necessary, treat the area for weeds and moss using Smartseal moss clear or weed killer.

Remove oil and other stains with Smartseal Driveway Cleaner or Oil Remover.

Re-sand the surface area with clean kiln-dried sand, compacting it to the lower edge of the paver chamfers.

Usage

Block Magic can be applied using two methods:

To keep the sand original color: Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller, leave to dry for around 3 hours, re-sand the surface, and then apply a coat of Smartseal Block Paving Sealer (MATT or SILK).

To change the sand color: Apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between each coat. Ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

After applying the sealer, expect protection lasting between 3-5 years, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.
