Description

General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. It effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, ensuring a vibrant and long-lasting finish. This product is suitable for use on most block paving surfaces, but should not be applied to clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane products.

Technical specifications

Volume: 5 Litres

Coverage: Approximately 3 m²/litre (2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: 3 hours before re-sanding; tack-free within 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic allowed after 4 hours; vehicles after 24 hours at 20°C

Temperature range for application: 12°C to 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Pressure wash the paving to remove all debris and contaminants.

Allow the paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For original sand color: Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller, then re-sand the surface with kiln-dried sand.

For changing sand color: Apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between coats, and ensure no rainfall for at least 8 hours after application.

After applying the sealer, compact the sand into the joints using a wacker plate.

Usage

Block Magic is designed to recolor and protect block paving.

Expect 3-5 years of protection after applying the sealer, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

Clean all equipment with Smartseal cleaning fluid after use.

Smartseal Block Paving sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) for skid resistance.

All materials comply with ISO 9002 for Quality Assurance.
