General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. This product effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicle traffic, and pressure washing, making your paving look like new again. It is suitable for use on most block paving surfaces, but should not be used on clay pavers or in combination with polyurethane products.

Volume: 150ml

Covers approximately 3 m²/litre on average based on one coat (coverage may reduce to around 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller or brush

Drying time: Approximately 3 hours before re-sanding

Sealer tack-free time: 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic permissible after: 4 hours at 20°C

Vehicle traffic permissible after: Minimum of 24 hours at 20°C

Ground temperature application range: Between 12°C and 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all surface debris and muck from joints.

Leave paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For original sand color: Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller.

For changing sand color: Apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between coats.

Re-sand the surface area with kiln-dried sand after drying.

Apply a coat of Smartseal Block Paving Sealer (MATT or SILK) after re-sanding.

Ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 6 hours after application.

Usage

Block Magic is designed to recolor and protect block paving surfaces.

Expect 3-5 years of protection after applying the sealer, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

For best results, avoid applying when the ground temperature is outside the specified range.

Other information

Smartseal Block Paving sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) and certified for skid resistance.

All materials comply with ISO 9002 for Quality Assurance.

Health & Safety: Flammable liquid; keep application area well ventilated and wear appropriate protective gear.

Do not apply deicing salts directly on sealed block paving.
