General description

Smartseal Block Magic is a premium blend of liquid pigments and acrylic resins designed to rejuvenate and protect block paving driveways and patios. This product effectively restores the color lost due to sun exposure, rain, vehicles, and pressure washing, ensuring your paving looks like new. It is suitable for application on old block paving, with the possibility of requiring two coats for a uniform finish.

Technical specifications

Volume: 5 Litres

Coverage: Approximately 3 m²/litre (around 2.5 m²/litre on old pavers)

Application method: Roller

Drying time: 3 hours before re-sanding; tack-free within 2 hours at 20°C

Foot traffic: Allowed after 4 hours; vehicles should be kept off for a minimum of 24 hours at 20°C

Temperature range for application: Between 12°C and 23°C

Flash point: 40°C (Abel-Closed Cup)

Installation

Ensure paving is pressure washed to remove all debris and dirt from joints.

Leave paving to dry for 5 clear and dry days.

For original sand color: Apply one coat of Block Magic with a roller, then re-sand with kiln-dried sand and apply a clear sealer.

For changing sand color: Apply two coats of Block Magic with a roller, allowing 2 hours between coats, and ensure no rainfall is forecast for at least 8 hours after application.

Usage

Block Magic is not suitable for clay pavers or for use in combination with polyurethane.

After applying the sealer, expect protection lasting between 3-5 years, depending on traffic, weather, and maintenance.

Clean all equipment with Smartseal cleaning fluid after use.

Other information

Smartseal Block Paving sealer has been tested by the TRL (Transport Research Laboratory) and certified for skid resistance.

Health & Safety: Flammable liquid; keep the application area well-ventilated and wear appropriate protective gear (respirator, gloves, goggles).
