Description

• This boiled linseed oil is designed to give a smooth, aged finish to new or stripped interior wood. It enhances the natural appearance of the wood while providing a durable, traditional finish. It can also be used as a sealer for porous surfaces like terracotta tiles and stone floors before waxing.

Compatibility and accessories

Installation

• Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application
• Remove any previous finish thoroughly
• For easier application, dilute the first coats with up to 30% turpentine

Usage

• Apply the oil with a lint-free cloth or brush, rubbing well into the wood
• After about 20 minutes, wipe off excess with a clean cloth to prevent sticky surfaces
• Repeat the process once or twice at 24-hour intervals for best results
• Finish with a final coat, allowing it to harden for a few days before use
• Lightly rub with ultrafine steel wool between coats to improve finish

• Maintenance involves wiping with a damp cloth and buffing dry; re-oil as needed
• Store in a cool, dry place above 5°C with the lid tightly closed
• If excess oil causes a sticky surface, wipe with white spirit and let dry before continuing
• Be cautious of self-combustion; dispose of oily textiles and tools safely
• Test on a small area to check color and compatibility before full application
