This is my firs shredder, but I really like it. It does what it says and it is quite powerful tool. It still makes a noise when shredding, but I think that is something to be expected. It is a bit heavy and has smaller wheels, but I believe it has more pros than cons, but cannot compare to another shredder.

Gets jammed when chomping shrubbery branches with lots of leaves. Otherwise, seems great
It rolled out of the box with little fuss, after reading the instructions. The machine is powerful and quiet (no ear protectors are needed). as it was as quiet as a good washing machine. It is best moved when the chute is attached which can then be placed into a bin for storage. I produced over 300 litres of mulch in an hour or two. Made up of climbers, small branches, old lavender bushes and large branches. Also a lot of leaves. There is a multi-bladed turbine which moves slowly and is not high speed. So, it is quiet. There are safety features on the machine which stops use if there is blockage or the bin is not correctly in place. It seems to be a solid well-made machine that is not stressful to use because of the noise and things flying out of it (compared to a fast-rotating blade). If putting in leaves, as instructed make sure other wood is added which aids throughput. The mulch was quite good in that large thicker pieces were cut small and slightly crushed to aid composting. thin sticks came out looking like small nails. The machine was easy to store and manoeuvre when the chute was left on. It is heavy and solid. I left the adjustable blade untouched in this instance as it was set in the factory. A good length of cable too.
We had the AXT 25D for 5+ years, but gave it to our son who was setting up home. So we bought the AXT 25 TC to replace it. So far very pleased with the product, and it's an improvement of the 25D. You have to be patient of course but it handles alot of stuff, and the rotating blades drag in the material, so the box is pretty full when the blades become clogged ( then you empty the box and start over). The 25D didn't like hazel but so far the 25TC copes with everything.
