Fast Drilling in Metal
HSS Twist Drill Bit PointTeQ with hex shank is ideal for fast results when drilling in metal
Hex shank for a strong connection and maximum torque transmission in three-jaw chucks and ¼"" internal hex tool holders
Self-centring tip prevents wandering for quick drilling starts; black-oxide-coated flute provides fast chip removal
Hex shank ensures a firm connection between bit and drill, and strengthens bit´s body for reduced risk of breakage
Split-point tip for active cutting and perfect centring; Type N (flute angle) with 135° tip, DIN 338
The HSS Twist Drill Bit PointTeQ with hex shank delivers fast results when drilling in metal. Designed for high-speed drilling, it generates minimal heat and bit wear, and features a PointTeQ tip design that ensures continual sharpness and high durability. Its self-centring tip prevents wandering and enables quick and easy drilling starts, while its black-oxide-coated flute provides fast chip removal. For even higher reliability, the bit´s hex shank offers stability and a firm lock between the bit and chuck, strengthening the bit´s body and reducing the risk of breakage for drill bits below 6 mm in diameter.
It is compatible with 1/4-inch hex-shank systems for universal use with impact drivers, drill drivers and drill stands.
The HSS Twist Drill Bit PointTeQ's split-point tip allows for active cutting and perfect centring. Drill bit Type N (flute angle) with 135° tip, manufactured to DIN 338.

Drill buying guide
From hammer drills to drill drivers, your choice of drill will come down to the type of tasks you want to complete. For example, a cordless drill is better for driving screws while a corded drill is best suited to drilling. Read on for our tips on picking the right torque, RPM, impact rate, battery and chuck type.
In 1886, Robert Bosch, a 25-year-old German engineer, founded an electrical engineering company in Stuttgart. He was returning from a long professional trip to the United States that had led him to work for Thomas Edison, one of the greatest engineers in history. Bosch improved the ignition magnet the following year, to be the first to adapt it to a car engine. This innovation allowed him to develop his business at a steady pace. In the 1920s, he converted his company from automotive supplier to electronics manufacturer. The company has been able to distinguish itself from other brands of DIY power tools by aiming for long-term and high-end, from its famous green drill to complex products such as rippers or garden tools (sculpts -hays, chainsaws ...). This was the success we know. Bosch currently employs 280,000 people worldwide and generates 46 billion euros in sales. Bosch spends up to 10% of its turnover on R & D, a rare effort in the industry. 92% of the capital of Robert Bosch GmbH is held by a charitable foundation Robert Bosch Stiftung GmbH. Thus the profits of the company are donated to this foundation. The remaining 8% of capital is held by the descendants of Robert Bosch's family.
