Powered by any jump starter with a 12V plug into an OBD II memory saver. 3. Preserves vehicle codes and electronic presets. 4. Reinforced clamp, stable current, fixed sheath, safety insulation. 5. Easy to replace and install. 6. Built-in 8-amp fuse in the memory saver for better reliability in overload protection. 7. Interface connector between a 12V DC power source and the vehicle's OBD II interface. 8. This device can operate with any 12V DC power source, including a jump starter, a 12V DC lead-acid battery, or a 12V DC power outlet from another car. 9. The device can also obtain 12V power from the cigarette lighter socket of another good car. / 9.1 oz (approx.) Warning: 1. When working with the vehicle's battery, refer to all safety instructions, warnings, and guidelines from both the battery manufacturer and the vehicle manufacturer regarding battery disconnection, removal, and replacement. 2. The vehicle's electrical system is powered by the memory saver via the OBD connection. Therefore, the vehicle's battery connectors are live and should be covered with insulation to prevent the connectors from touching metal or each other and causing a short circuit. After each use, disconnect the memory saver and use a dry cloth to wipe any dirt or oil from the connectors and cable. 3. During battery replacement, DO NOT start (ignition) the car while the old battery is disconnected and the new battery has not yet been installed. Also, DO NOT turn the key to the "ACC ON" position. Doing so will likely blow the memory saver fuse due to high amperage and overload. 4. Securely attach the memory saver's OBD II connector to your car's OBD II port to ensure a good connection. Otherwise, during battery replacement, poor contact between the OBD II connector and your car may result in a loss of power to your car's ECU (Electronic Control Unit, also known as the auto computer). Troubleshooting: The 12V DC plug of the memory saver must be properly connected to the 12V power source. Otherwise, the red indicator light on the plug will not illuminate, indicating either no power signal from the power source or an incorrect polarity connection. If the power source is from another vehicle, check the condition of the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. If the power source is from a starter motor, check the ignition switch. If the power source is from a 12V lead-acid battery, check the polarity. Package List: 1 * Cigarette Lighter - Auto Starter Power Converter 1 * Cigarette Lighter - Clip Power Converter

Advice from
Jump lead buying guide
Jump leads are an invaluable piece of kit in the event of a flat car battery. Select them according to your engine type, the quality of their clips, the amperage of your battery and the length of the cables. You will also have to choose a cable cross section; the most common options are 25 mm², 35 mm² or 50 mm².
