Here are some reasons why the new carburetor might be leaking: 1. Fuel leaks after installing a new carburetor are usually caused by old debris from the gas tank getting into the conical float valve inside the carburetor and preventing it from closing/sealing properly. 2. The second possibility is connecting the fuel line to the wrong port on the carburetor. 3. The third possibility is a defect in the float valve. The float (which is filled with air) inside the carburetor might have a small hole from the factory and has taken on gasoline.
