To check the carburetor mixture adjustment, you can use the following methods:

Measure the carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon, and oxygen content of the exhaust using a gas analyzer.

Observe the flame color in the combustion chamber through a special glass-bodied spark plug known as "Colortune"; a "Bunsen blue" flame indicates a stoichiometric mixture, while yellow indicates a rich mixture and whitish-blue indicates a lean mixture.

Measure the exhaust gas temperature, which should be close to maximum for an optimally adjusted mixture and will drop steeply if the mixture is too rich or too lean.
