Sparkling Merida chandelier with glamourous hanging The history of chandeliers goes back centuries - to the days when there was no such thing as electric lighting. Back then, they were mostly operated with candles, although installation and commissioning with traditional light bulbs and other electric bulbs is of course much safer and is therefore almost exclusively preferred today. Even though chandeliers can look back on such a long history, we hardly seem to have had enough of them, as they are able to provide a magnificent sparkle and glitter that never fails to fascinate and beguile like almost no other light source. The Merida chandelier is one with such dimensions that it can also be easily integrated into private living spaces. The shade is made of clear acrylic with a polished surface and creates that familiar sparkle as soon as it comes into contact with light, reflecting the rays of light with a glamorous effect.
