General description

The Fireplace Insert Seal is a versatile sealing solution designed for both indoor and outdoor applications, including stoves, fireplaces, barbecues, smokers, flues, and cable ducts. With a generous length of 2 meters and dimensions of 15mm x 3mm, it is suitable for daily use.

Installation

Ensure the surface is clean and dry before application.

Peel off the protective film from the self-adhesive tape.

Stick the tape onto the desired area and allow it to harden for 12 hours.

For vertical applications, additional components may be required to secure the sealing rope.

Usage

The sealing tape is designed for use in various sealing applications, including lid seals, grills, door seals, and chimneys.

It is important to ensure that the sealing strips are held in place by force-fit connections, such as window seals and expansion joints.

Note that if the temperature exceeds the specified limits, the tape may dissolve.

Other information

The sealing tape features a wear-resistant double-sided adhesive layer, making it easy to apply without the need for additional glue.

Tested to be smoke-free, ensuring a safe sealing solution.

Washer and O ring buying guide

All plumbing or mechanical connections need to be sealed using a rigid or flexible waterproof barrier. Static and dynamic connections can be made watertight using fibre or rubber washers, O rings or lip seals, all of which need to chosen to match the type of liquid and pressure they are required to contain.
