ClassicBond EPDM rubber roof kits provide a modern, high-performance alternative to traditional flat roofing felt. Designed for long-term waterproof protection, these kits are suitable for flat roofs on garden buildings, extensions, garages, and other timber structures. Each kit includes a one-piece EPDM rubber roofing membrane along with the required adhesives for secure installation. Two adhesive types are supplied where applicable: Water-based deck adhesive is used across the main roof surface. It is easy to apply, allows time for positioning the membrane, and provides a strong bond once cured. Contact adhesive is applied around the roof perimeter (approximately 150 mm / 6 inches) and to any upstands, providing an instant bond for edges and vertical details. For kits with a coverage area of 3 m² or less, spray contact adhesive is supplied instead of water-based deck adhesive. The EPDM membrane is supplied in the stated kit size. When measuring your roof, sufficient overhang must be allowed. A minimum of 150 mm overhang on each edge is recommended, adding 300 mm to both the roof length and width. For best performance, flat roofing trims should be installed around the perimeter to secure the membrane edges and help prevent wind uplift. ClassicBond EPDM is designed to be installed over OSB3 or timber roof decking only and should not be installed over existing roofing materials such as felt or asphalt.
