Filter Logic® FL-005 ceramic cartridge:

The Filter Logic® FL-005 candle fits the following Doulton® water filters: it is installed in place.

- Doulton® HCP and HCS (on sink)

- Doulton® HIP, HIS (under sink)

- Doulton® NP3 (professional)

- Doulton® Supercarb Short Mount

Attention: there are two types of tips on Ultracarb cartridges, check that the tip is identical to the tip of your current cartridge (see tip zoom photo)

These Doulton® water filters are equipped with Doulton® Ultracarb® or Supercarb® cartridges.

The Filter Logic® FL-005 ceramic cartridge has a dual action due to its composition: ceramic filtration + activated carbon.

Technical specifications of Filter Logic® FL-005 ceramic cartridge:

- Average reduction of chlorine (taste and odor): >99%

- Average reduction of suspended particles (algae, rust, etc.): >99.99%

- Average reduction in water turbidity: >99.99%

- Average bacterial reduction: >99.98%. This cartridge is only intended to treat water from the drinking water network. It is not designed to treat rainwater, borehole water, or any other water of unknown quality.

- Capacity: 1000 gallons / 3800 liters or 6 months.

- Flow rate: 0.75 GPM / 2.8 Liters per minute at 3 bar pressure.

- Nominal filtration threshold: between 0.2 and 0.5 µm

- Filter Logic® FL-005 cartridge does not reduce heavy metals.

- BPA free.

Installation of the Ultracarb® / Supercarb® compatible Filter Logic® FL-005 cartridge:

1 - Make sure the rubber O-ring is wet and properly seated on the threaded bracket.

2 - Follow the instructions provided with your water filter system to isolate the water supply and replace the water filter. Important: do not overtighten the fittings.

3 - Flush the system (with the new cartridge installed) for ten minutes by opening the faucet or isolation valve.

4 - Leave the filtering system undisturbed overnight.

5 - Flush the system again for two minutes by opening the tap again.

It is recommended to clean the cartridge with clean water every 3 to 6 months, depending on the water quality, to remove accumulated sediment deposits.

The cartridge has a lifespan of 6 months. To be changed every year at most.

Install only in cold water. Do not use with water that is microbiologically hazardous or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection system before cartridge.
