General description

Our Concertina Loft Ladder provides the perfect access solution for those "awkward" applications where the loft opening or floor space is limited. Its compact design allows the ladder to be stored within the hatch perimeter, maximizing storage space in the loft. The ladder comes fully assembled, making it the quickest and easiest loft ladder to fit. With a unique design featuring rubber-coated, non-slip treads for extra safety, it will fit almost any hatch size, provided you can get your shoulders comfortably through the loft opening. The ladder is very strong, with a maximum load capacity of 150kg (23.5 stone).

Installation

The loft ladder is easy to fit with basic DIY skills and is supplied with a kit to convert an existing ‘push up’ hatch into a ‘swing down’ alternative. The conversion kit includes a hook attachment that can be secured to a pole to operate the ladder (pole not included).

Usage

The ladder features a clever, double-sprung mechanism that supports its weight when being lowered from or raised into the loft, making operation light and easy. It can be set at a range of different climbing angles, providing greater flexibility. The ladder takes up just 450mm directly above the hatch, ensuring no loft space is taken up outside the hatch perimeter. Red rubber wheels are attached to the base of the ladder to protect your hard floors or carpets. Treads can be easily unbolted as required to fit your application.
