I may have stumbled upon the only batch that wasn't working. No assembly instructions, even though it's very simple, I admit. The problem is that there seems to be a defect in the shelf, which is why instructions would have been useful. The shelf doesn't go into a horizontal position but stays upright, so it's not working...

Expensive for this quality, you have to make a choice, either you put it straight or you put it level, but you can't do both.
