Immerse the electrode in the solution to be tested. Shake gently until the displayed level is stable. Use To calibrate the pH meter: Dissolve each buffer solution in 250 ml of distilled water. Dip the electrode in the pH 6.86 solution at 25°C. Press the CAL button for 5 seconds, then release. Rinse the electrode with distilled water and dry with filter paper. Dip the electrode in the pH 4.00 solution and repeat the calibration process. Test the calibration with the buffer solution.
