This door closer is one of the few to offer a force (i.e., a resistance to opening) of only 2, i.e., the minimum. This model also allows this force to be adjusted (between 2 and 4). Simply unscrew the hex screw all the way (several turns) to reach the minimum. This now allows elderly people to open the door properly. Of course, the closing speed as well as the end of travel are adjustable via two screws. Installation is easy, as a template and drilling dimensions are provided. This "groom" is also quiet. It is delivered without the arm, but it is also available from Manomano, making it a quality set at a very reasonable price.
