General description

Dowsil 785+ is a one-part bacteria-resistant silicone sealant in Manhattan Grey, designed for sealing sanitary fittings such as baths, showers, sinks, urinals, and ceramic tile joints. It provides strong adhesion to most non-porous surfaces, including ceramics and porcelain, and contains a fungicide to resist mold growth and protect against bacteria such as MRSA, E. coli, and Salmonella. The sealant cures quickly, becoming tack-free in approximately 30 minutes and fully curing within 24 hours, with a joint movement capability of ±20%.

Best applied with a sealant gun and cartridge

Installation

Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, sound, and free of grease.

Use a cleaner like DOWSIL™ R-40 Universal Cleaner or methylated spirits for non-porous surfaces and dry thoroughly.

Apply the sealant evenly into the joint using a sealant gun and cartridge.

Clean excess sealant with DOWSIL™ R-40 Universal Cleaner before it cures.

If applied to porous surfaces, wait until it is just cured and then remove by peeling, cutting, or mechanical means, taking care not to damage surrounding surfaces.

Usage

Use for sealing sanitary fittings, ceramic tiles, and other non-porous surfaces in bathrooms and kitchens.

Ensure proper surface preparation for optimal adhesion and durability.
