3. Inputs can be pulse width modulated (PWM) to control motor speed, using a choice of current decay modes.
4. The DRV8871 device features an advanced current regulation circuit that does not use an analog voltage reference or external sense resistor.
5. This new solution uses a standard low-cost, low-power resistor to set the current threshold.
6.The ability to limit the current to a known level can significantly reduce the system's power requirements and the overall capacity needed to maintain a stable voltage, especially during engine starting and stalling.
7.The device is fully protected against faults and short circuits, including undervoltage (UVLO), overcurrent (OCP), and overheating (TSD).
