Description
Drybase Universal Mortar is a ready-mixed, cementitious waterproofing and repair mortar suitable for concrete, masonry and natural stone substrates. It delivers robust performance in horizontal, vertical and overhead applications and is designed for resistance against frost, abrasion and de-icing salts. The breathable formulation combines cement, graded quartz sand and selected additives to create a mortar that is both durable and vapour permeable.
Applied in layers between 6 and 12 mm thick, Drybase Universal Mortar is effective against both pressureless water and water under pressure. It is compliant with EN 1504-3 for structural repair and tested for use in contact with drinking water. The mortar can be used for patch repairs, fillets at wall-floor junctions, reprofiling, and as a general-purpose waterproof layer.
This high-performance mortar can be applied using a trowel or suitable spray device. It provides strong adhesion, carbonation resistance and compatibility with thermal cycling. After initial curing, surfaces may be finished with a plaster or coating using appropriate preparation techniques.
Drybase Universal Mortar is supplied in 25 kg bags and mixed with 3 to 4 litres of water to achieve a workable, lump-free mix. It sets within 5 to 6 hours and remains workable for approximately 45 minutes. Ideal for demanding environments, it offers an effective and lasting solution for structural waterproofing and repair.
