Dryrod Hole Clearing Tool

The Dryzone System Hole Clearing Tool is a durable tool for preparing drill holes prior to the installation of Dryrod Damp-Proofing Rods in rising damp treatments. It is designed to remove dust, debris and loose fragments from the borehole, ensuring a clear and consistent surface for effective rod insertion and damp proofing performance. This durable tool is manufactured to fit standard 12 mm diameter drill holes and is capable of reaching depths of up to 190 mm, making it ideal for treating 9 inch thick walls. A clearly marked line along the shaft indicates the full 190 mm insertion depth, providing visual guidance during use. After drilling with an SDS drill, the tool is inserted into the hole and twisted. This action collects loose debris into the hollow of the tool. With the open face of the tool facing upward, it is withdrawn to extract debris cleanly. For shorter holes, users can mark the shaft with tape to limit the insertion depth as required. When working on soft or weakened masonry, hole clearing should be done gently to avoid dislodging any fragile material.
