The hammer is made from solid steel with a genuine leather grip.

Beautiful hammer, well profiled and very heavy. I chose it for occasional use when I need a smooth typing surface. I've had. On the other hand disappointed by the leather handle which is "plastoc" and which is slippery in rainy weather.
I have finally found the oh so desired "American Hammer", and at a reasonable price to boot. This is my third one and I am not disappointed.
Beautiful, practical, solid and good value for money.
A bit heavy at first, but with training, it's the best!
