Product information

Description

The Fiskars X24 Splitting Axe's small-sized blade is ideal for splitting small to medium sized logs, between 10-20cm diameter. Its wider blade and splitting wedge increases power and makes the blade easier to remove from wood. Proprietary blade-grinding provides a sharper edge for superior contact and cleaner cuts. The double-hardened, forged steel blade maintains its sharp edge longer. A low-friction blade coating glides through wood and protects against rust.

Utilises the safest, undetachable axe head and shaft connection. Its ultralight and durable FiberComp™ shaft construction is virtually unbreakable and offers superior overstrike protection. Its perfectly weight balance provides more power at impact. The oversized SoftGrip™ grip zone features strategic texturing for improved comfort and control. A hooked handle end for added security in the hand.

The included sheath helps protect blade and user. Designed in Billnäs, Finland, building on more than three-and-a-half centuries of the world's best forged tools. Comes with a 25-year warranty.

I am not an expert on merlins, but I find this product very efficient and ergonomic.

Good product, but the packaging is laughable, without any protection and full of holes!!! What if this product fell into the hands of an unstable person?

I liked: the Fiskars maul is efficient, normal it's their job: you just have to sharpen it slightly so that it cuts the log well but already as it is designed (with 2 corners) it does a good job. I didn't like: I placed my order with Mano Mano on 03/12, on 04/12 you cashed the amount and I had to call you 5 days later because I still haven't received it even though you told me Order sent: I received it on 11/12, this tool had surely been forgotten in a corner. This is not serious for a brand like yours. Fortunately Mrs. Lila listened to me and did what was necessary so that I finally got it...

Good quality product, I just regret that it is not heavy enough, and perhaps review the sharpening.
